The hotel does not match the photos online. Gladly only booked 1 night. Very dated hotel and extremely overpriced. At £400 per night my expectations were high. Huge letdown and feel duped. Location was good and easy to get around, close to public transportation but nothing warrants the price. Hotel is old, unkempt, etc. and weirdly having to leave the room key with reception every time we left, I do not recommend and we wouldn’t stay again.

Horrible experience. The hotel was super gross and not somewhere you should stay. We found hairs, stains in the sheets and overall very dirty. When talking to the staff they offered us a different room but there were still stains and hairs. Additionally, there was a bug on the pillow. The staff did not care whatsoever. I attached emails from the hotel. We had to move hotels at 3 am. Save you money and DO NOT STAY HERE.

We had a 6 day stay, but this isn’t a hotel I would recommend for longer than a 1 night stay. The pictures are not a true reflection of the room size, they’re much smaller than what’s on the website. The hotel is pretty outdated, stains in the carpet, mini bar wasn’t clean (my family members room had ants in their mini bar), old fur it’s in the rooms. Our air initially wasn’t working in our room so we asked to moved and I guess you have to request for them to turn the air on because once we asked to move magically it worked. We initially asked to change rooms due to the misleading photos and size of the room and were told no rooms were available. We then decided to change hotels and somehow they now had more rooms available. Some of the front staff was helpful (didn’t get any names) but most of them were rude and not helpful. The walls are extremely thin, you can hear conversations from next door and rooms right above you very well. The hotel is in a great centralized location but wouldn’t recommend for families larger than 3 and long term stay.

Family's first time in Paris (2 adults / 1 teen) and we did a ton of research on where to stay (hotels, AirBnB, etc). before selecting Hotel Ascot Opera (read the reviews (good & bod prior). Stayed 8 nights and booked via Expedia. We were delighted with our stay at the hotel and it made our first time in Paris really enjoyable. Some highlights: 1. Centrally located, allows one to maximize walking: very close to the Opera and right smack in the very quaint Opera district over-all, 12-15 min walk to museums (Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, L'Orangerie), 25 min walk to Montmartre, Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe, etc. Would recommend walking throughout as probably the highlight of our trip is viewing the the beautiful architecture of the buildings as we walked across Paris, 2. Staff (front desk, housekeeping) were all extremely cheerful, helpful and available. 3. Room (quadruple room, 6th floor) was good. It was small (which we expected) but beds were comfortable, amenities were complete (usual small shampoo bottles and soaps, we bought a big body wash and shampoo in a nearby Carrefour). Other items: - we got to the hotel around 1230pm and check in was quick. Room was not available then so they stowed our bags while we had a quick lunch at nearby Alma Pâtisserie. We went back after an hour and room was ready (they brought our bags up). - elevator is small so had to do 3 trips bringing down our bags when checking out. Over-all, an excellent centrally located hotel to stay at Hotel Ascot Opera. Highly recommend for small families (3-4).

I booked a single room for a one night stay and knew in advance, from reading reviews, that the room might be small. However, whilst it was small it was well organised in space and - most important - very clean with plenty of towels in the shower area and toiletries. The staff, both at reception and at night, were friendly and helpful. For central Paris it represented good value for money. Sadly, somewhere in the hotel or the vicinity, I lost an ID card but the staff were excellent in searching for it and taking my details in case it is recovered. I'd definitely stay here again, the location is so good for everything.
